Snowcone For President is a local three-piece, feel good, jam band with a growing fan base. The members are composed of Jeremy Neese- who is the southern soul sounding lead vocalist and also plays the twisted lead guitar, his younger brother Josh Neese-- who plays the funk-like bass and harmonizing back-up vocals, and Casey "Baby boy" Rooks-- who plays the hard hitting and up-beat drums.

This group of laid-back musicians is probably one of the most naturally gifted bands to hit the scene in a while. They rock each and every show with their vivid good-feeling vibes. Music lovers that go to their shows are guaranteed to have a good time and rock out.

Their music can be described as a hodge-podge of punk, indie, grunge, pop, hard rock and old school funk.

"Straight up awesome," said Jeremy of their sound, " It is the good kind of music."

They bring down the house with powerful originals and fun inspiring covers, such as Run DMC's "Tricky" and Outkast's "Roses," as well as a few Talking Heads covers.

According to Josh, the goal for Snowcone is "to play much as [they] can."

"Also, one of our goals is to affect people with our music as we can," said Jeremy.

"And to have a good time and try to make a living as well,"finished Rooks.

Their motivation for their music is the true fact that they "just like to play music." One thing that Snowcone shows offer that is not offered by other bands is the "Drunkest Person Award," where at every show they host a dance-off with the drunkest people in the bar. The winner wins a free specialized T-shirt that has a drunken panda on the front and states, "I won this shirt being that person at the Snowcone For President Show." This award just proves what type of amusing and comical characters these awesome musicians are.

Some upcoming Snowcone shows are May 1 at Ballews Music Event in Carrollton, May 9 and June 13 at the famous Bajas in Newnan, May 15 and 16 at Suzy Q's in Jacksonville, Florida, May 30 and June 20 at Vendetta Pizza in McDonough and June 27 at Lenny's in Atlanta.
