Chlamydia, syphilis and gonorrhea are common sexually transmitted diseases that people often hear about and often get tested for. But there is another STD that many people may overlook: the human papillomavirus, or HPV.
In a slightly misleading title, Tim Burton and co. should have potentially named this “Alice in Wonderland 2” as this is indubitably the sequel do the Disney original. Alice has now returned to Wonderland 13 years later to do essentially the same thing Robin Williams did in “Hook”; to try and remember who he once was.

Movie Review of "Cold Souls" Starring Paul Giamatti
There have always been movies about preserving the human life after death; cryogenics and cloning come to mind as the standard for these types of films, but Cold Souls takes a different approach to the norm. Playing off the Vanilla Sky classic, instead of paying for a continued life in a lucid dream, The Soul Storage Company will simply remove your soul for a better and more satisfying life.
It’s that time of year again where chocolates, roses and “Chick-flicks” are unavoidable. Valentine’s Day is on February 14th and students at UWG are gearing-up to serenade their sweethearts or wish they had someone special to share this day with.
The clock was slowly approaching midnight on Jan. 30, and the Alley Cat Restaurant and Bar was packed to the brim.
The sound of excitement filled the crowded bar as local band Baby Baby made their entrance through the front door. Brown asked students to fill out surveys for other events that Weekends at West Georgia threw in the past and asked their opinion about future movie preferences. The survey results showed that “The Hangover” was the most popular choice.

At times it can be hard to dress a plus-size body, but there is a secret.
There are many curvy, full-figured women who get frustrated when shopping for the hottest fashions because they can’t seem to find anything that looks good on them. Some even brave the shopping crowds, only to be discouraged when they find only loose, baggy and out-of-date outfits in their size. At times it can be hard to dress a plus-size body, but the secret is to always wear items that accentuate curves, not exaggerate them.
What do you get when you add a gorgeous backdrop of the Bora Bora and Tahiti islands, a hilarious and well reputed cast, the composer who received a Golden Globe for Best Original Score (for Slumdog Millionaire) and alas, a director who once acted in two Wonder Years episodes (one of my favorite shows ever).

Without a doubt one of the more exciting things happening in the music world this summer was music festivals. Lollapalooza in Chicago, Rothbury in Michigan, and Bonnaroo in Tennessee are just a few of the major music festivals that happened this summer. I was only able to make it to Bonnaroo, but it was enough to make my summer one of the best in recent years.
The Wolves are tearing into the Stadium this week, and tasty tailgating food is on the menu. Easy and cheap, of course, these two dishes take roughly 10 minutes to make. The franks are great with nachos, chili, or hot dogs, and the Mexican Bean Dip will work with any kind of chips. So make a few pre-game snacks and enjoy the game!
Millie’s Pub & Eatery, located on Bankhead highway just across from K-Mart and Pizza Hut, is very easy to overlook. Although it boasts a neon sign on the front that proudly declares the old building “Millie’s on the Highway,” the fact that the restaurant is located on a hill discourages safer drivers from paying attention to it. The little-known pub has been in the same spot since 1987, but somehow most students seem to miss it.

This is a super-easy, really fun way to make breakfast or desserts. Six ingredients, one bowl, one muffin tin; that’s it. These are really good with seasonal fruits, like blueberries or strawberries, and the fruit forms a kind of warm jam, like the inside of a pie. They’re really fast, and will make you look like you know how to cook. Make sure you grease the pan!
If you take the title literally, "500 Days of Summer" actually rounds up to roughly a year and half of constant sunny days, consistently tan skin and alas, no school. I suppose we would have to account for Georgia weather throwing us some blistering hot days, followed with peeling skin and, for the unlucky many, the everlasting job hunt.
"Snowcone For President" Wants Your Vote For Best Carrollton Band
Snowcone For President is a local three-piece, feel good, jam band with a growing fan base. The members are composed of Jeremy Neese- who is the southern soul sounding lead vocalist and also plays the twisted lead guitar, his younger brother Josh Neese-- who plays the funk-like bass and harmonizing back-up vocals, and Casey "Baby boy" Rooks-- who plays the hard hitting and up-beat drums.
Where does the money go? Considering over 50% of the budget in Georgia goes to education you have your answer. It is getting a little tiring for people who work in the private sector to hear the teachers and higher education students think they shouldn't share in making sacrifices during tough times. Maybe if I am about to lose my job I can go and petition to keep my job. Teachers and higher education students are not a protected class of workers or people. It is tough for everyone and I imagine if you ask someone in the private sector who has lost their job if they would rather have taken some furlough days instead of losing their job they would choose the furlough days.
