Samba Loca

Chris LaMance

Carrollton now has a new style of restaurant for all to enjoy. Samba Loca is an authentic Brazilian steakhouse that makes its customers feel like they could really b in Brazil. Once a person steps into the restaurant they know that they have not seen anything like it around.

At first glance at the menu customers may feel somewhat confused, because the entire menu is in Portuguese, but no fear Samba Loca has the explanation of each dish in English for its patrons. If that is not enough they also have small TVs at each booth that has a slide show witch show pictures of each dish, and if the explanation of the food does not make someone want to try something new then seeing the picture of the meal will.

Samba Loca also has a full bar. This is a great thing for the restaurant because the night life in Carrollton is a booming part of the college life. The bar has big flat screens around it and a great atmosphere. The bartenders wear Brazilian soccer jerseys which is a different type of uniform for bartenders is town.

Also to help out with their night life the restaurant brings in different types of bands. They have got a Brazilian band to come a couple of times and each time they have had a full house. Another great thing is the there is never a cover to see the bands that come to town.

The food at Samba Loca trumps everything else about the restaurant. Customers can get some of the best steaks around and different types of food that people would have to travel to Atlanta to get. There are full list of appetizers, salads, steak, and other types of food.
On question that is always asked when new places open up in Carrollton is how long will they last. Well Samba Loca has a good chance pf making it because the owner of the restaurant also own the Border in Carrollton and Loco Mex in Bowdan. So this means that the owner knows how meet the needs of Carrollton.

When asked how she likes working at Samba Loca Chelsea Payne a server at the restaurant said, “I love it. The management is wonderful to work for, and I enjoy working with people.”

When asked how he liked his dining experience Patrick Taylor a student at UWG said, “It was an amazing place to eat, the staff was great, the food was out of this world, it would be the perfect place for a nice date, and I will be back without a doubt.”

So if anybody is in the mood to try something new, food that you have never had, or be in a great atmosphere Samba Loca is the place to go. If new is not anything that appeals then try this restaurant because no one will be disappointed, but just know the prices maybe a little steep but it is way worth the money.

Ok so the grammar was awful. My grammar isn't great, but I don't write articles to be published! I was so distracted by how awful the punctuation was, that I didn't pay attention to the actual restaurant and what it has to offer! The owners are probably pissed!

So is The West Georgian looking for a new editor? Is this a job that counts for credit or receives a paycheck? Let us know, there seem to be a lot of people who would like to see the paper written well....

Seriously? How can you critique us for making statements about this article when you yourself cannot even write correctly? Take a look at your first line!!!! That sentence does not make sense!! I stand by my previous comments. This article should be taken down. How has someone not fixed this article already?

I'm sorry but before anyone decides to critique this writier think that everyone makes mistakes, and it sounds like to me all of you just want to bitch about something. If you have read this writer's other articles then you would know he is a decent writer he may have just had a bad article. Do all of you do everything perfect all the time ? No.

I agree with everyone else. Thanks for making me look stupid for having graduated from UWG, West Georgian.

Bad grammar... but I have to admit... going to Samba Loca is without a doubt a great experience! The food is delicious... amazing! If people worry about the prizes... just think... Now you do not have to go to Atlanta to have an excellent meal! It's in our town! I'm definitely a fan! I love everything but what will bring me to Samba Loca over and over is THE FOOD! (and that... my friends... is what matters in a restaurant!)... Don't get me wrong I love the ambient ... the people who work there are super nice... but THE FOOD... is divine! I'm already hungry!

This is possibly the worst the article I have read from the West Georgian. The diction was horrible. Did someone else proofread this before it went to print? For example, "If new is not anything that appeals then try this restaurant because no one will be disappointed, but just know the prices maybe a little steep but it is way worth the money." What the heck does this mean? I'm not an English major or anything...but come one West Georgian...you can do better than this.

Who ever is charge here should seriously think about their profession of choice. I am a UWG alum and am very upset that my Alma Mater is being represented by such poor diction. Please take this article down or at least edit the article and issue an apology for such poor representation of the university. Seriously, my university should not be publishing such a poorly written article!!!!

Seriously learn how to spell. How can I take this article seriously when you cannot even spell the name of the town right!!! Bowdan?? Really "B" in Brasil? And of course "on" question?? How does the writer of this article have a job in publishing? I can understand a rough copy, but how does the author not even notice these mistakes? Also, how does the senior publisher not notice this. Glad to see that someone who does not even know how to spell has a job. Really encouraging!!! :)

Spell check! And punctuation would be nice, also...I couldn't take this article seriously about authenticity of a Brazilian restaurant when the author can't spell or string together coherent sentences.

I've always wanted to go there, but after seeing what it looks like inside, I really want to go and try Samba Loca now.
