The Ultimate Frisbee season began on Friday, March 5.
Registration for Ultimate Frisbee was held online, between Feb. 8 and 24. On Feb. 25 a meeting was held at 6pm in the Campus Center Ballroom to discuss the season and the rules.
This season there are 6 Ultimate Frisbee teams: Disc-O-Inferno, Free Flyers, Purple Rain, SCAP, Stall Nine and THE Safety Patrol.
The teams are allowed to have between 8 and 20 players. Since this is a Co-ed sport, the rules have set a 4 female minimum for each team.
Disc-O-Inferno has 15 players, 8 males and 7 females. Their captain is Joette Crews
The Free Flyers are led by Jonathan Fischer. His team consists of 13 males and 6 females.
Shomari Spencer is the captain of Purple Rain, with 8 males and 5 females on the roster.
SCAP is made up of 10 males and 4 females, led by Jerrell Alexander.
Tyler Woodard heads his team, Stall Nine. They have 10 males and 5 females.
Emily Burnett is the leader of THE Safety Patrol, with 9 males and 5 females on her team.
On opening day, there were three games held on the Intramural Fields. The first game was between Disc-O-Inferno and Purple Rain at 2pm.
The second game was between Stall Nine and THE Safety Patrol at 3pm.
For the final game of the day it was SCAP against the Free Flyers at 4pm.
The next games are scheduled for Friday, March 12.
